KEYS FOUNDER AND EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Rob Silvan founded KEYS in 2004. Rob is a jazz musician and composer and has been a music educator for forty years, teaching classical, jazz, blues, popular music, improvisation and composition. He is the Music Director at the Talmadge Hill Community Church in Darien, CT and the former Music Director at The Montessori School in Wilton, CT.
ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Laurie Bradbury is a former corporate IT executive at PepsiCo and Accenture, Assistant Music Director and Board Member of The Ridgefield Chorale, a 70 voice choir in Ridgefield, CT., and an accomplished choral singer and pianist. Laurie joined KEYS in 2014.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR
Jennifer has been an active supporter and board member of many community organizations in Fairfield and Bridgeport, CT for 25 years. Through her experiences, Jennifer said: “I realized how much I loved to chair special events, to be creative while always keeping within budget, to learn how to be a good committee member and leader, to learn how to motivate volunteers to take ownership of and enjoy their efforts, and to have the opportunity to create a community service project when there was a need.” Jen joined KEYS in 2018.

RUSSELL COOPER, CHAIR
President of Jaffe Holden Acoustics, a renowned acoustical consulting company that has designed hundreds of performing arts and music education centers around the world, and is active in many conferences dealing with music and arts education. Founder of the Connecticut chapter of the American Foundation for the Prevention of Suicide. Norwalk Symphony Orchestra Board member from 2005-2014, and timpanist in the NSO for over 25 years. Russ joined the KEYS Board in 2014.
ARTHUR GANG, VICE-CHAIR
Practicing insurance attorney for forty years, and a music and musical theater lover his entire life. Enamored of the "Great American Songbook," Arthur has organized and presented programs on the Gershwins, Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern, and Rodgers & Hammerstein at The Conservative Synagogue in Westport, the Westport Public Library and the Fairfield Theatre Company. He and his wife Ellen, a fashion designer and teacher, have lived in Westport for 25 years. Their now grown children have all participated in the arts, theater and music programs at Staples High School. Art joined the KEYS Board in 2016.
JON BURLEIGH, TREASURER
Spent over a decade at the Interpublic Group where he had financial and operational oversight of several global operating units and where he also managed global corporate functions including planning, development and shared services. Prior to Interpublic, Jon spent more than a decade on Wall Street working at firms including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley, executing a wide variety of mergers, acquisitions, equity, debt and restructuring transactions primarily in the media and technology spaces. He is a graduate of Middlebury College and the Harvard Business School. Jon lives in Darien with his wife Anne and has five children. He previously served on the boards of the Red Cross of Greater New York and the Connecticut Start Girls Ice Hockey Program. Jon joined the KEYS Board in 2018.
STEVE MERNICK, SECRETARY
Worked for Bank of America for 37 years in a variety of positions and responsibilities including client management, loan syndications, leveraged finance and risk management positions in the energy, healthcare, autos and airline industries; also responsible for the bank’s Europe, Middle East and Africa portfolio as the Senior Corporate Risk Officer in London from 2002-2005. Volunteer in the Bridgeport school system in a first grade reading program, as a mentor and tutor for fifth grade students, and through KEYS, as a piano instructor at Bassick HS. Board Member (Vice President) of the Rowayton Arts Center, a provider of art classes for adults and children and exhibitor of art for local artists. Steve has a BA from Union College; MBA in Finance from Boston College. He and his wife, Ana, reside in Darien. Steve joined the KEYS Board in 2017.
ROGER TARIKA, DIRECTOR
Former Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Vice President at DPS Development specializing in eco-friendly luxury sporting club communities; now focused on independent asset management. Past Treasurer and Board of Directors roles at Greens Farms Academy; past Board Co-Chair and currently on Board of Directors for Horizons at GFA since 2002. Interests include Music, Golf, Skiing, Reading, Food and Wine. Roger joined the KEYS Board in 2016.
JON MORGAN, DIRECTOR
Principal of Sound Fund Advisors, a firm that provides independent governance services. Formerly involved in due diligence and research in the asset management business. Senior Advisor to the Imprint Group, which provides leadership consulting to asset management companies. Board Member of the Frank Foundation, which operates a summer camp in Maine for 200 boys. Board Member of the Talmadge Hill Community Church with specific responsibility for the Education program. Co-teacher of Talmadge Hill’s high school Youth Group. Jon joined the KEYS Board in 2016.
SHERRY THORNE, DIRECTOR
President of The Agape Foundation, and has been its president since the inception of the organization in 2005. Women's Bible Study teacher and facilitator, serving for more than 20 years. Former Director of Women's Ministry at Black Rock Church, Fairfield, CT. Former Board member of the Pregnancy Care Center in Cincinnati, OH, and an active volunteer in numerous capacities. Holds a liberal arts degree and a business degree from the University of PA and the Wharton School respectively. A piano student for the past ten years, other interests include reading, live theatre, Pilates and fitness. Sherry joined the KEYS Board in 2016.
GREG BAUER, DIRECTOR
Managing Partner of mHealth Connections, a marketing firm he launched in November 2012, located in Connecticut. The firm develops patient engagement programs using mobile and online technologies to close gaps in care and foster relationships between patients and their physicians. Greg recently completed his Master of Science in Health Care Delivery from Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine. Prior to starting mHealth Connections, Greg worked for iLoop Mobile, where he led the company’s healthcare sales efforts. Before joining the mobile sector in 2007, Greg worked with digital media companies, including Softbank and Ticketmaster, serving in business development and marketing roles. Greg began his career in Chicago with Crain Communications and spent 15 years in magazine publishing, eight of which were with Advertising Age. He lives in Rowayton with his wife, Julie, and they have two grown daughters, Sarah living in London and Ellen in Brooklyn. Greg joined the KEYS Board in 2017.
DONNA COHEN, DIRECTOR
Executive Director from 1995 -2012 of the Interfaith Westchester Holocaust Commission. In 2000, the organization grew to become the Holocaust and Human Rights Educational Center. Served as an NGO at the United Nations from 2004 to 2010. A member of the Board of the Jewish Historical Society of Fairfield County since 2014. In 2015, she returned to playing the cello and went back to college to pursue a degree in Music Technology at the Manhattanville College. Resides in Westport CT. Her two daughters and two grandsons all live in Fairfield County. Donna joined the KEYS Board in 2018.
BILL DURKIN, DIRECTOR
Managing Partner of the law firm Diserio Martin O’Connor & Castiglioni, LLP, specializing in corporate law and commercial real estate. Advises clients in mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and general business matters, and represents owners, lenders and tenants in commercial real estate transactions. Past President of the Fairfield County Bar Association and member of the Association’s Board of Directors. Former Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Brunswick School, Greenwich, Connecticut, Member of the School’s Board of Trustees, Executive Committee Member, and Chair of the Board’s Law Committee. Former Trustee of the Darien Library and Stamford Symphony. Current Board Member and Finance Chair of the Talmadge Hill Community Church. Resides in Darien with his wife, Martha. Bill joined the KEYS Board in 2018.
DANIELLE HOLMES, DIRECTOR
Received her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fairfield University in 2018 and plans to start her own practice working with teens and couples to strengthen healthy family dynamics. Abstract artist who has shown her work throughout the Northeast. Completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2010 and continues to practice, and occasionally teach friends and family. Created and ran a luxury online baby business selling her products internationally, 2003-2015. Before starting her family, she lived with her husband in a little town called Denmark, Maine, and was a member of the Denmark Arts Center, 2002-04. A mother to three creative and musical children and a wife to an entrepreneurial husband, Danielle lives in Rowayton and enjoys the outdoors with her family and three dogs as much as possible. Danielle joined the KEYS Board in 2018.
SCOTT WEBER, DIRECTOR
Background is creating, building and leading enduring companies that make a difference by virtue of their vision and mission. He has over 30 years in the healthcare education industry with a successful track record of starting companies, raising capital, navigating mergers/acquisitions and driving shareholder value. Currently President of Med-IQ, a medical education company, where Scott is leading the integration, innovation, and growth of three recently acquired education companies. Founder of Acoustic Wilton, a group of local adult and student singer/songwriter/musicians who volunteer their time and talents to “play it forward” by raising money and building awareness for local causes. Scott joined the KEYS Board in 2019.
VIRGINIA GRAY, DIRECTOR
Previously a CEO, finance executive and consultant in the health care industry, Virginia has been a volunteer with various nonprofits over the last 30 years including Girl's Inc. Her focus is on programs which help children to build a better life through education and mentoring. Virginia is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and Columbia Business School. A resident of New Canaan, she studies piano, practices pilates and enjoys amateur baking. Virginia is co-chair of this year’s Fall Benefit. Virginia joined the KEYS Board in 2019.
REV. SARA D. SCOTT-SMITH, ESQ., DIRECTOR
Rev. Sara Scott-Smith is currently serving as the Senior Minister of United Congregational Church of Bridgeport, the oldest institution in Bridgeport gathered in 1695. She serves as the President/CEO of “nOURish BRIDGEPORT, Inc.” a volunteer-powered, food-centered, and community-anchored 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, that she founded in 2010. Originally from Kentucky, Rev. Sara has been an ordained United Church of Christ minister since 1996. A leader in the Bridgeport community, Rev. Sara is the past Board Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Family Justice, the Green Village Initiatives, the YMCA-Bridgeport, and the City Lights Art Gallery. Prior to entering seminary, Rev. Sara practiced law as a Trial Attorney for the U.S. Department of Labor in Dallas, Texas after receiving her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center. She lives in a charming remodeled 1902 Craftsman style home in Bridgeport with her wife, Laurie Scott, and their lovable rescue dogs, Sadie and Fenway. Rev. Sara joined the KEYS Board in 2019.
