The recognition

More Than Musical Excellence

The KEYS Hall of Fame celebrates more than musical ability. It recognises dedication, character, and the lasting impact of students and teachers within the KEYS community.

For Students

Students must have completed at least four years of KEYS instruction or volunteer work and be ready to graduate from high school or have already graduated.

They should demonstrate KEYS values through hard work, teamwork, community service, ensemble participation, and consistent musical studies.

For Teachers

Teachers become eligible after retirement. There is no fixed requirement for years of service or number of students taught.

Recognition is based on exceptional dedication, inspiring teaching, mentorship, compassion, strong relationships with families, and lasting contributions to KEYS.

Teachers identify eligible student candidates. Rob Silvan and a small KEYS committee make the final selections in early April, with inductees announced at the Spring Concert. The number of inductees is not fixed, and induction may not occur every year.
