Marija is a KEYS piano instructor at Columbus School. She is teaching 2nd graders using the Suzuki Method. Her teaching style is gentle but focused. She is on the faculty at the Talent Education Suzuki School in Norwalk where she teaches Suzuki piano, advanced traditional and Suzuki students in the Aspiring Young Artists program, and coaches chamber ensembles.

A graduate of the Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, Marija also holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University “sts. Cyril and Metodius” in Macedonia. Marija earned her Masters in Music from the University of Cincinnati. She has participated internationally in master classes, most exceptionally at the International Piano Week in Belgium and the Prague International Piano Master class. Marija has performed in Belgium, Macedonia, Bulgaria, and in a variety of locations in the United States.

Marija performs with her husband, Justin, in the Elkins Duo, www.elkinsduo.blogspot.com. They perform throughout the Connecticut area and have played at fundraisers for KEYS.
