 Justin Elkins Violin and Cello Instructor |
Justin is our KEYS violin and cello instructor at Columbus School. He is teaching violin to 4th and 5th graders and this year started eight 2nd graders on cello. He is on the faculty of the Talent Education Suzuki School in Norwalk.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Justin is an internationally known performer and pedagogue. In the United States, he has participated in the Aspen Music Festival and the Interlochen Arts Academy. Abroad, he has given concerts in Japan and Macedonia. As a teacher, he has taught at the River Bend Conservatory of Music, directed the Junior Symphony and Cello Choir there, and was a faculty member of the Bismarck State College where he was the Director of the String Department. Justin is currently the Assistant Office Manager and librarian for the Norwalk Symphony Orchestra as well as a member of their cello section. At the Talent Education Suzuki School in Fairfield County, CT, Justin is building a Suzuki cello studio, teaching advanced traditional and Suzuki students.
